Old Road Bicycle to Fixed Gear Conversion

Thanks to a good friend of mine, Jerome, I happen to get a hold of an old road bicycle. The brand of the bicycle is Pinnacle, it is a 10 speed, and according to some research, the age of bicycle is around the late 1970’s to early 1980’s. As soon as I noticed that the bicycle had horizontal dropouts, I knew it could be converted to a fixed gear. After some measurements, I found out that the frame was 53cm top-to-bottom, and not built for someone like me, a little over six feet tall man. I decided to rebuild this bicycle for my girlfriend, being that she is two inches over five feet, with an inseam that fits the frame. I stripped it all down, took all the parts off, and bought all new parts. I ended up keeping the frame, headset, seat post, and handlebar. I really wanted to repaint this bicycle, and at the same time cut off any braze-ons or cable stops. I will make painting the bicycle, a project for another time. For the most part, this was just a project that I felt passionate about, as well as getting bicycle building experience.
